About KDramaWorld
KDramaWorld is not a streaming service and not a database with a coat of paint. It is a place to keep what Korean dramas do to us: the favourites, the rankings, the exact episode you cannot rewatch, the second lead you are still not over.
Principles
No fabricated community scores, fake trending metrics, invented viewer counts or made-up popularity. If KDramaWorld shows a number, it came from you or from a named metadata source.
Statistics are computed from rows that exist. When the data is insufficient, the field is empty and tells you why.
Journal entries, private reviews and private lists are excluded in the query, not hidden in the interface. Visibility is enforced on the server.
KDramaWorld's design language — burgundy, champagne, film-frame marks, editorial serif — is our own. Moods are editorial curation, labelled as such.
Data
Metadatalive
Live metadata is supplied by TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Ratings shown as external are TMDB user scores and are labelled as such.
Configure TMDB_ACCESS_TOKEN to switch to live metadata. Imported records are stored with provider = 'tmdb' so they never mix with curated demo rows.
Artwork
Drama posters, backdrops and actor portraits are the real images served by TMDB, pulled once at build time and stored locally — the app makes no third-party image request at runtime. They remain the property of their rights holders and are shown here for identification and commentary. Mood covers and the homepage plate are original KDramaWorld artwork generated procedurally. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Your content
Ratings, statuses, reviews, journal entries, damage levels, lists and rankings belong to you. They are stored per-account, protected by server-side authorisation checks, and never used to make claims about you beyond the algorithm's stated inputs.
